Dr. (Mrs.) Ifeoma Ejinkonye (HOD Mathematics & Computer Science)
Dr (Mrs.) Ifeoma Obiageli Ejinkonye is currently the Head of Department, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Western Delta University Oghara, Delta State. She joined Western Delta University Oghara, in 2011 and rose to the rank of a Senior Lecturer in 2017. She has supervised many students. She obtained her Bachelor Degree (2003) in Industrial Mathematics, Masters Degree (2008) and PhD (2017) in Applied Mathematics all from University of Benin, Benin City. She also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Education (2008) in National Teachers Institute Kaduna. She has been associated with teaching and research for the past twelve (12) years. She has taught several courses in Mathematics. She has over fifteen (15) publications in local, national and international journals of repute. She is also a resource person to National Teachers Institute Kaduna since 2019. She is a member of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) and also a member of the Nigeria Association of Mathematical Physics. She is happily married and blessed with children.
Dr. Jomata Igben (Ag HOD Environmental Management & Toxicology))
Dr. Jomata Lucky Igben is a Senior Lecturer and Acting Head, Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology. He obtained both B.Sc.and PhD degrees in Geography with specialisation in Population and Environmental Management from the University of Ibadan in 1986 and 2011 respectively, and an M.Sc. Population and Manpower Planning (Environmental Demography) from the University of Jos, Nigeria in 1992. His PhD thesis on ‘Petroleum Exploitation and Labour Force Dynamics in Delta State, Nigeria’ is an integrated study of the impact of petroleum exploitation in the Niger Delta on the physical environment and labour force in the primary sector within the framework of population-environment linkages.He is a member of numerous academic and professional bodies including the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), Union for African Population Studies (UAPS), International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), Population-Environment Research Network (PERN), Waste Management Society of Nigeria (WAMASON) and Nigerian Environmental Society (NES). He has published over two dozen papers in both national and international journals of repute in addition to chapters in books and a book titled ‘Petroleum Exploitation and Labour Force Dynamics: A Spatio-Temporal Analysis’ published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing, Saarbrucken, Germany (2012).He has served in numerous university committees and as Acting Director, General Studies and Entrepreneurial Studies Units between January 2018 to February, 2020. His research interests span Population Studies (Population and Environment Analysis), Environmental Management, Human Dimension of Global Environmental Dynamics and Socio-economic Impact Assessment (SIA).
Mr. Francis Evuen (HOD Biochemistry)
Mr. Evuen is currently the Coordinator of the Department of Biochemistry, Western Delta University, Oghara, Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Biochemistry from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and a Master’s degree from the prestigious University of Benin, Benin city, Nigeria. He is about concluding a PhD programme in the area of Environmental Biochemistry/Toxicology from the University of Benin, Nigeria. As a rising scholar and a promising researcher in the Field of Biochemistry, he has provided teaching lessons to undergraduate students in various areas of Biochemistry for the last nine (9) years and has several publications to his credit in reputable learned journals. His research interest is focused on Nutritional Toxicology, Medical Biochemistry and Biopharmacology/Ethnomedicine. His highly organised approach and expertise in handling administrative functions effectively saw him assume the position of a Hall Warden at the NDDC Male Hall of Residence, Western Delta University and a member of the University’s Magazine/Bulletin committee. He is an astute member of the Nigerian Society for Experimental Biology (NISEB). He is happily married and blessed with Children
Dr. Bala Anegbe (Ag HOD Basic and Industrial Chemistry)
Dr Bala Anegbe is the Ag. Director, Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) & Coordinator, Department of Basic and Industrial Chemistry, Western Delta University Oghara. He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Masters Degree in Industrial Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry all in University of Benin, Benin City Nigeria. He has been associated with teaching and research for the last nine (9) years. He has taught several courses in both Environmental and Inorganic Chemistry. His research interest is focused on Environmental Chemistry with special interest in “Soil Pollution Studies and Remediation using Agricultural Biomass”. He has over thirty five (35) publications in local, national and international journals of repute. He is the lead author of the book titled “Characterisation and Remediation of Soil Co-Contaminated by Heavy Metals and Petroleum Hydrocarbons, published by Mostvirtue, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria (2018)”. He is a Senior Research Consultant at the Analytical and Environmental Research Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, University of Benin. He has served in numerous University Committees. He is also a resource person to National Open University of Nigeria since 2017. He is an active member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, and a member of the International Association of Lions Club. He his happily married and blessed with children.
Dr. Victor Irogue Omorusi (HOD, Microbiology)
A graduate of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, with a B.Sc (Hons) Zoology in the 1983/84 academic session. Obtained M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Plant Pathogenic Microbiology in the 1990, and 2005 academic sessions, respectively from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State.
He is currently the Head of Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.
He has over sixty (60) Scientific Research publications including conferences and workshops, both local and international. He has travelled widely for conferences and workshops in Malaysia, Indonesia, and India. Leader of four member delegates from Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and Ivory Coast) to Malaysia, on workshop on the Management of Corynespora Leaf Fall Disease of Rubber and other crops.
As Director-Research, at the Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria, and formerly Head of Department of Agronomy, and Leader, Gum Arabic crop Programme.
Opeh Raymond Nduweze (Ag. HOD, Physics with Electronics)
Opeh Raymond Nduweze attended the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University where he graduated with a second class upper degree in Physics and Industrial Physics in 1999. He then proceeded to the University of Benin where he bagged a Master degree in Exploration Geophysics in 2005. His research interest is in applied geophysics, mathematical modelling in geophysics and biogas. He has published academic papers in reputable journals. He joined the University as an assistant lecturer in 2008 as a foundation staff.

Anthony O. Garuba (Ag HOD of Accounting)
Anthony O. Garuba is currently the Acting Head of Department of Accounting and Finance. He holds B.Sc (Accounting) and M.Sc degrees of University of Benin. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He qualified as a chartered accountant thirty years ago. He has garnered experience both in the industry and the academics. He was a full time lecturer in the Department of Accounting, University of Benin in the late 1990s before he left for the banking industry where he rose to the position of a manager. He came back to the academics in 2008 and is a pioneer staff of Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.
His hobbies are reading, counselling and consulting.
